According to reports, it was revealed as early as 2023 that between 2019 and 2022, some former Tesla employees shared sensitive images and videos captured by cameras in customer cars via an internal messaging system. These recordings included, among other things, embarrassing situations involving Tesla customers, accidents, and even a video showing a kindergarten crash. Tesla claims that the vehicle camera footage remains anonymous and does not establish a connection to the vehicle owners. However, former employees report that the computer system used was able to display the recording locations, potentially allowing conclusions to be drawn about the Tesla owners' place of residence. Tesla did not respond to detailed questions about this report.
