They found that the plaintiffs would not have bought the vehicles in question if they had known about the manipulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The sale of the cars does not make the claim unfounded. The courts uniformly consider it unfair to prohibit the injured party from using the vehicles for other commercial purposes. They would only draw the line in exceptional cases, when the vehicle had been sold for less than its value without good reason.
